FAQs
We know that choosing a home care provider is not an easy decision and want to do everything we can to simplify the process for you. Here you will find some of the most common questions that we are asked when clients are evaluating what services to get and how we can support them. If you don’t see the answer to your questions below, don’t hesitate to reach out to our 24/7 call center and get the answers you need.
What services do you offer?
Our services span the needs of those living with limited mobility, compromised or chronic health conditions (such as dementia, depression, or stroke). We do it all—housekeeping and home maintenance right through to specialized end-of-life care. Click here to see a complete overview of all our services.
Do you offer live-in services?
If you or your loved-one is no longer comfortable living alone and would like someone to stay with them 24/7, we are ready to step in. Based on our assessment of your needs, we’ll hand-pick caregivers and medical professionals to take care of all your needs around the clock. This may include a combination of the following coverage depending on your needs:
Multiple Shifts: A combination of staffing shifts ranging from three eight-hour shifts per day to any other variation to ensure qualified staff are on hand to care for you.
Live-In Service: One staff member (HCA or nurse depending on your needs) present in your home for 20 hours per day available to assist and provide care for up to 10 hour per day. Your caregiver will sleep and eat at your home (requires a private bedroom in your home). BC Live-In labour standards and regulations require that a live-in caregiver have four consecutive hours free in every 24 hours of work. To provide full 24-hour coverage, we can supplement our Live-In Service care with four-hours of service from a second caregiver.
Can you offer temporary respite services?
Those caring full-time or part-time for a loved one are a risk of suffering caregiver burnout. That’s why it’s critical to get regular breaks. We are ready to step in and provide respite for you on a short-term or long-term basis. Learn more about our respite services.
I am schedules for surgery and I live alone. Can you help me when i get home from hospital?
Yes. Our home from hospital service is designed especially for this. We can help you prepare for your hospital stay, drive you to and from the hospital, and be there for you when you get home to take care of you until you are back on your feet. Our services include, but are not limited to, home support (e.g., house-keeping, laundry, food preparation, companionship, outing, and errands) and personal care at home (e.g., bathing, grooming, medication management). A nurse or qualified medical professional will be required for specialized care at home (checking vital signs, managing pain, and chronic conditions).
